Kotor is small, walkable and ridiculously photogenic — three days is plenty for a first visit.
Stay inside the old-town walls if you want romance and morning coffee on a stone terrace; choose Dobrota or Muo if you'd rather swim straight out of your front door.
Get up early to climb the fortress before the cruise crowds arrive, then reward yourself with a long lunch at a konoba on the water.
